“ Frosty's donuts are excellent. But what made our visit special was the option to customize a doughnut. My children were delighted to pick their flavors, frostings and toppings. What they came up with isn't something I would've chosen, but they loved them. Our visit to the donut shop was more than just getting a treat. It was a fun experience. ”
“ Best donuts not only in Maine but up and down the east coast. Can't recommend highly enough. ”
“ Delicious donuts and bagels! We had a focaccia Asiago bagel and it was so good! Light and airy, but in a way that totally worked for a bagel! The blueberry maple donut was also very good. Despite a long line, service was quick and friendly! ”
“ Donuts the right way! Friendly staff and the aroma of fresh donuts. Frosty's is a true gem with "melt-in-your-mouth" fresh pillows of love. I love the simplicity yet welcoming storefront and interior. You are always greeted with smile that comes from the heart. Once you taste their donuts, you will understand why there is usually a line or they sell out. ”
“ Seriously and without exaggeration these donuts are killer. No cap. The frostings, fillings, and everything in between are homemade. The raised donuts are our favorite. The strawberry tastes like butter, but strawberry. The owners are super friendly and nice. The service is fast - even with long lines. It's all worth it. We sometimes eat in and it's pretty quiet with comfy chairs. ”
“ Stopped here for an ice coffee and a donut on a beautiful Saturday! The donut was soooo good, I got the blueberry glazed and the people I were with got a maple and a chocolate glazed and they were impressed too. The coffee was spot good. Such a cute coffee shop with amazing donuts! ”
“ My family arrived in Navy housing in Brunswick in 1965-1966 - Frosty's was up by Bowdoin College at the time - and well-known for great donuts - I hate to say how often we would be sitting at a table, smoking cigarettes, drinking coffee, eating donuts when we should have been in high school. In 1977 I started a job at WKXA-WCLZ in Brunswick. At the time, Bill Clemons (sp) was a well-known WPOR celebrity who the new owners of the radio station had recruited to build the early morning drive. Bill used to stop at Frosty's to check in with the owners (like at 4am!) and then would arrive at the station with a box of donuts. And, that started my love affair with the most amazing donuts that has continued to this day. Frosty's has been the panacea for so many things. I would take a box to clients, show up with a box at video shoots, share a box with families who were grieving and so much more. For many years the donuts were known by me and those I shared them with as "Jesus Donuts" - primarily because when June and Bob were alive the store promoted, in a quiet way, their religion. 2011 Frosty's was purchased - and the new owners have done a great job, keeping to recipes that work and even expanding! In the old days if you didn't get there early, the goodies were all gone and you could only get them in Brunswick. Pre-Covid they had donuts in other locations - now, post-Covid hours are shortened to three days a week with longer hours. Today, the religious tracts are gone, save one small nod on one of the sign boards, the place is still as friendly, staff seem genuinely happy to be there and the donuts - OMG. Twists are second to none (today they were still warm!!) Raspberry jelly, butternut, chocolate frosted - all so yummy. Cinnamon rolls are yeasty, not dense and with just right sugar/cinnamon. Frosty's is now a "special" treat - not a regular occurrence - based solely on my age and seriously - when people talk about other donuts as "the best" I can only assume they haven't had Frosty's. ”
“ Worth the drive! We went here on the way out of town which was about a 45 minute drive. We arrived around 930 on a Saturday morning and luckily found the line to be short. Service was great and patient. We got 4 donuts and coffee, and they threw in 2 mini fritters. The donuts were so delicious. My favorite was the raised with chocolate icing! ”
“ There are all kinds of donuts, and then there are Frosty's Donuts! A business staple in Brunswick since 1965.They are made with that combination awesome sauce of dedication to the craft, homespun goodness and just plain Yumminess! Selections are cake, glazed, filled, fritters, etc. All are fresh and delicious, and boy do they sell out quickly. Each bite is fresh, with textural notes including pillowy, crunchy, perfectly sweet and again that yum factor! Fresh coffee is available, locally sourced by Wicked Joe's, the perfect accoutrement. The owners Nels and Shelby are fabulous. They are welcoming and very generous, always throwing in a few extra donuts to say thank you for your patronage. Highly recommend! ”
